The SUV is designed for athletes and is built in a lightweight carbon fiber body with a strong frame. The car is equipped with two engines (Polaris for ground travel and Rotax 914UL for flying) and has a push propeller.
The car has a paraglider, which, when moving on the ground, is retracted into a special compartment. Take off requires a runway 137 meters long. In the air, the SUV can reach speeds of up to 66 kilometers per hour.
The SkyRunner’s flight range is 220 kilometers. The vehicle is certified by the United States Federal Aviation Administration.
In mid-February 2017, it was reported that the Dutch company PAL-V, the manufacturer of the Liberty flying car, had begun accepting applications for a new model. Large-scale production will start shortly and the first machines will be shipped to customers in 2018.
In August 2016, the Izvestia newspaper reported that the Pskov State University is developing a flying car, which fundamentally differs from the aircraft-cars already existing at the moment. Instead of fenders, the car has four propellers that do not protrude beyond the body and should provide the car with sufficient flying performance. The flying car is supposed to be about four meters long and about two meters wide.
Also in August 2016, a presentation of the school project “Hybrid Transport of the Future – Avtolet” took place at the Moscow Department of Education. The project was demonstrated by a student of a Moscow school Artem Vasyunik. The aircraft has the basic dimensions of the car, while it does not have large overall transforming parts, and it has the ability to take off and land vertically.

The developments of Russian schoolchildren, students and scientists have received awards from the International Exhibition of Intellectual Property, Inventions, Innovations and Technologies IPITEX, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia reports.
Russian developments received nine gold and five silver medals.
The exhibition took place in Bangkok (Thailand). The main goals of its implementation are demonstration of samples of the latest technology and modern technologies, the establishment and development of mutually beneficial contacts between Russian scientific organizations, industrial enterprises, innovative companies of the countries of Southeast Asia, as well as the development of trade and economic cooperation, the promotion of Russian science-intensive products and high technologies in world market.

American inventor Peter Shripol has created and tested a six-legged radio-controlled robot with a flamethrower, according to portal N + 1.
The inventor noted that when creating the robot, he was inspired by a similar project by the Japanese video blogger Y NAKAJIMA, who built a robot on a walking chassis and armed it with a laser.
The platform for the robot was a ready-made radio-controlled toy hexapod with a washer. The author replaced the upper part of the robot, installed more powerful motors and servos in the car, as well as a flamethrower. After that, the robot was tested on toy soldiers.
The message indicates that this is not the first time that inventors have used flammable substances in their models. For example, American Austin Howat made a drone with a flamethrower, and British inventor Colin Furze built a termite gun.
The French company Vaylon is developing a buggy with a paraglider, reports the portal N + 1 with reference to Defense News.

Rosakkredagentstvo has entered into cooperation agreements with a number of agencies from the CIS countries and Germany involved in accrediting higher education programs, the press center of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science reports.
The Situational Information Center of Rosobrnadzor hosted an international seminar on improving the quality of education.
As a result of the event, agreements were concluded with the Agency for Accreditation of Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) (Germany), the Foundation for International Accreditation of Programs in Business Administration (FIBAA) (Germany), the Center for Quality Assessment in Higher Education ( SKVC) (Lithuania), National Center for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education (ANQA) (Armenia), Independent Accreditation Agency (EdNet) (Kyrgyzstan).
In May, a similar agreement was already signed with the Independent Kazakhstani Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA).
“It is very important for us to develop international contacts at all levels. We participate in international projects and research to improve the quality of education in our country. The experience that exists in Europe and in the world is very significant for us, we are happy to study it, and we try to use the best practices in our work, ”said the head of Rosobrnadzor Sergey Kravtsov.
The signed agreements provide for joint work to improve the quality of higher education in the European space, the exchange of information, consultations, seminars, conferences, and other events. In addition, the parties will have to analyze international experience in the development of a quality assurance system for higher education.
The head of Rosobrnadzor said that Russia is discussing new approaches to inspection and control in education.
“Inspection and control in the field of education should be different from other types of control, they should be of a developmental nature. We are now changing our approaches and believe that, based on the results of the inspection, a development program for a particular school, municipality, region should be worked out, and if this program is not being implemented, then administrative measures should be taken, “said Kravtsov.
He added that Russia is very interested in the foreign experience in organizing such work.
The statue discovered in Egypt does not belong to Ramses II, but to another pharaoh from a later dynasty, reports TASS with reference to the Minister of Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt Khaled al-Anani.
According to him, “the hieroglyphs on the colossus indicate that the statue was erected in honor of Pharaoh Psammetichus I of the 26th dynasty of pharaohs” (7th century BC).
Pharaoh is known for restoring the former greatness of the state by suppressing the power of the Nubians, Assyrians and part of the priesthood with the help of Ionian and Carian mercenaries.
The minister added that the study of the statue in order to accurately identify the identity of the pharaoh will continue.
Earlier in March, it was reported that archaeologists discovered a quartzite statue weighing four tons and a height of about eight meters in Cairo in the El Matariya region. Scientists have suggested that the statue depicts Pharaoh Ramses II.
The head of the Egyptian-German archaeological mission, Ayman Ashmawi, noted that the statue was discovered in the area where an ancient Egyptian temple was previously a narrative essay about a hero located. The statue was found in a damaged condition – after cleaning the head of the monument, it turned out that only fragments of the face and crown of the pharaoh had survived. Archaeologists have suggested that the remainder of the statue, which remains in the ground, could also be heavily fragmented.
The head of the section of Egyptian monuments under the Ministry of Antiquities of Egypt Mahmoud Afifi said that in the El Matariya area there was a temple in honor of the 19th dynasty Pharaoh Ramses II, who ruled more than 3 thousand years ago. He added that recently a statue of the 19th dynasty of Seti II was found in the same area, which is much better preserved.
