The editorial team too "Mirror online" supported the study "Hate comments on the net" with their findings.
Delete or discuss?
The experts took a closer look at the reactions to contributions on topics such as refugees, sexism, AfD and regional reports. The scientists speak of "hijacked discourses". Few users get the upper hand in the course of discussions and comments, and the debate then escalates quickly.
Weichert and Kramp cited a report on the hygienic conditions in refugee homes as an example. In this case, a certain user comment turned the discussion. In the end, the online debate was less about refugees than about the question of what the state is actually doing for the homeless.
Delete or discuss? In a ten-point catalog, the two experts advise the media to approach users. Online editors should courageously tackle their role as moderators on the Internet and malicious users too "Plain text" speak to.
Media houses are not powerless

"Feel-good and fluff journalism" could not stop the brutalization. The experts advise, however, to publish comments that are related to the users’ living environment and to propose solutions – "and not always just crises, war and catastrophes"as Weichert said. To do this, however, the resources in the editorial offices would have to be increased significantly.

If you want to change a setting on the wireless router but no longer know the password for the administration interface, you should reset the wireless router to the factory settings. Some wireless routers have a separate reset button. Others require you to hold down several keys at the same time for a certain amount of time. Others have a small opening behind which you can press a hidden reset button with a straightened paper clip. Refer to the instruction manual to find out how to reset. In the instructions you will then also find the factory-set password, which is often "0000" or "admin". After you have reconfigured the wireless router, you should of course change the primitive preset system password again.
Each router comes with a mini operating system called firmware. This software can contain security holes that can be used by hackers to access the router. As with Windows, these software errors are corrected by the manufacturers with updates. You should therefore check every few weeks whether there has been a firmware update for your router. This works via the user interface of your router, or you can download the update directly from the manufacturer’s website.

Revolution, coup, hostage-taking, military conflict: the USA and Iran have been enemies for decades. One event in particular still has an impact.
The conflict between the US and Iran threatens to escalate dramatically: The commander of the Iranian Al-Kuds Brigades, Ghassem Soleimani, was killed in an American air strike in Iraq on Sunday night. In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard fired rockets at two US bases in Iraq on Wednesday morning.
A direct attack from Iran marks a new level of escalation in the conflict between the US and Iran. Nonetheless, the two countries have clashed again and again in the past few decades: The two countries have a long history that has been shaped by opposition, violence and mistrust for decades. In August 1953, the British MI6 and the US CIA overthrew Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadeq. The secret services incited Iranians to putsch and among other things paid citizens for demonstrations. Mossadeq had been democratically elected in 1951 and then nationalized the British Anglo-Iranian Oil Compay. The group had made large sums of money with Iranian oil, from which Iran benefited only marginally. While US President Harry S. Truman initially refused to help the British, his successor Dwight D. Eisenhower let the CIA organize the uprising. Code name: "Operation Ajax". Because Eisenhower feared that Iran could turn to the Soviet Union.
The coup is considered a key event in relations between Iran and the USA: From then on, Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi ruled alone, as an autocrat, with the goodwill of the USA. Among other things, he founded the secret service SAVAK, which monitored the Iranian population and suppressed the opposition.

In 1979 the Shah was overthrown in the Iranian Revolution and replaced by Ayatollah Khomeini and the Islamic Republic. For Ayatollah Khomeini and his government, the United States was considered "Great Satan", as an enemy and corrupted through and through. Since the beginning, the Islamic Republic has also denied the existence of Israel, one of the United States’ closest allies. In addition, Iran supports groups like Hezbollah from Lebanon, which is not only considered a terrorist organization in the USA. The USA has been punishing Iran with extensive sanctions for almost 40 years.

Because of the Iranian revolution in 1979, the cancer-stricken Shah fled to the USA for treatment after several stopovers. Iran demanded his extradition, Khomeini called for attacks on the USA. On November 4, 1979, Iranian students occupied the American embassy in Tehran. The occupation soon became hostage-taking. The last hostages were not released until after 444 days, on January 20, 1981. If the USA did not per se see Iran as an enemy despite the revolution, embassy relations between the two countries ended with the event.
1980–1988: Iran-Iraq war

The Iran-Iraq war began in September 1980 with an attack by Iraq on Iran. The war lasted until August 1988. Hundreds of thousands of people died, most of them on the Iranian side.
In order to support Iraq, the US removed the country from its list of countries considered to be terrorist supporters. From 1984 they put Iran on the list. In addition, the US supported Iraq with information on Iranian troop deployments and movements. As later became known, the then Reagan administration also tolerated the use of poison gas by Iraq against Iran.
In spite of an official embargo, however, from 1985 onwards the USA also indirectly supplied Iran with weapons, as became known in the course of the Iran-Contra affair.
1988: Iran Air Flight 655 was shot down

The US cruiser shot down on July 3, 1988 "USS Vincennes" under the direction of Captain William C. Rogers from an Iranian Airbus 300 with 290 people on board. The passenger plane was on a half-hour flight from Bandar Abbas to Dubai over the Persian Gulf. The "Vincennes" was stationed in the Gulf to protect oil tankers from Iranian attacks and was in combat with Iranian speedboats at the time of the shooting down.
A computer error on the "Vincennes" Blamed: While an automatic query recognized the Airbus as a civil aircraft, the new Aegis combat system identified the passenger aircraft as an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet. Rogers had several messages posted on civil and military channels. When these remained unanswered, he had the plane shot down.
To the indignation of Iran, the then Vice President George H. W. Bush defended Roger’s mission. It was not until 1996 that the Clinton administration reached an agreement with Iran on compensation payments of nearly $ 131 million, of which about 61 million were due to the bereaved. The USA did not recognize any guilt.

After the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, President George W. Bush described three countries as being in January 2002 "axis of evil": North Korea, Iraq and Iran. The Iranian government didn’t like that at all. Iran and the USA are said to have cooperated with one another in secret beforehand: The reason was a joint fight against the Taliban, which both sides saw as enemies. The slain General Soleimani is said to have led the negotiations on the Iranian side. According to Bush, all cooperation ended.

As early as the time of the Shah, Iran was working on a nuclear program that the United States supported. Aid ended with the Iranian Revolution, but Iran continued the program after a short break. In 2002, it became known that Iran had nuclear facilities. With the election of the hardliner Mahmud Ahmadinejad as president in 2005, the conflict intensified, also because Ahmadinejad was a massive threat to Israel.
The situation eased after the 2015 nuclear deal negotiated by the governments of Barack Obama and Hassan Ruhani and numerous other states. The US sanctions have been eased. Donald Trump, who was elected president in 2016, unilaterally terminated the agreement and reactivated US sanctions against Iran. In response, Iran announced in May 2019 that it would be enriching uranium again. The USA then imposed new sanctions. The situation got worse and worse until the current conflict.

The MAC addresses of the respective computers that are to be allowed into the wireless network must be entered in the MAC filter table. You can find this MAC address via the command prompt in the Windows menu. Enter the command ipconfig / all here and press the Enter key. The following list shows the MAC address of the WLAN adapter under Physical address.
It is easier with some routers. There, the MAC addresses of the currently connected devices can be read out in the user interface, of course only before the address filtering has been activated.
Ratgeber.t-online: What is a MAC address and how do you find it?
Check the night service of the wireless router.
If the router does not offer a WLAN connection despite the power supply, night service could be activated in the router. Many WLAN routers allow a time control with which the WLAN can be switched on and off in a planned manner – for example at night. Check whether this is possibly active and set other times or simply deactivate the night service.

Show hidden network names.
Every WLAN network can usually be traced by its name, the Service Set Identifier (SSID). However, this name can be hidden in the settings of a wireless router so that the network is hidden from foreign surfers. If you cannot find a wireless network you want, the SSID may be hidden. If you have access to the WLAN router, check the corresponding setting. In the case of a third-party WLAN, just ask the network operator. In an emergency, SSIDs can also be network sniffers such as inSSIDer track down. Therefore, hiding the SSID is not an effective protection against WiFi hackers.
Detect and eliminate interference from other WLAN networks.
Other wireless networks in the vicinity may be using the same channel as your WLAN. This is technically feasible, but of course the capacity of an individual channel will eventually come to its knees. Then it is advisable to set the radio channel manually. Some routers show busy channels so you can simply select a free one.
